Quick pit stop a mcdonald's on the drive to welling, followed by sleeping children (my favourite way to travel).
First thing in the morning they had to check out the kittens.
Took the boat out for a test run.
Denton and Paul fried up some salmon.
Family quad ride to great grandma's house
Sunrise on the drive to Calgary
We made it to Elise's new house.
We mostly just hung out and got last minute camping supplies.
The next day we headed to Sylvan Lake, We stopped to see Esther and her new house on the way up but totally forgot to take some pictures. As soon as we got to our site we put the kids to work collecting wood.
Ollie loves Tyler
Elise messed up her back the second day trying to wakeboard.
We got to celebrate my Mom's birthday.
In honour of her birthday we took a drive in T's sweet buick into McDonald's for some diet cokes.
Then a stop at Walmart where Elise drove around in a sweet cart.
And we even found these travel urinals for 75 cents each.
Does it get any better?
It rained some while we were camping. Luckily we had a sweet shelter to build illegal fires in. Of course my boys loved being able to get so close to the fire.
Collecting things in the woods.
Scar likes to "hold" Jack who is almost as big as her.
We went to the movie, Shaun the Sheep. It was horrible but the kids loved it.
My Mom has an amazing ability of sleeping in movies. She likes to take things in via osmosis, as she likes to say. I may have slightly inherited this characteristic...
Mason playing with Jacko
Denton and Tyler do no have delicate constitutions and can fall asleep anytime, anywhere.
We got caught in a rainstorm walking back from the park. Ollie also likes to "hold" Jack.
Playing in our green space. We were lucky enough to not have to share the whole time we were there. Also we love Chinese kites.
The boys kept trying to sneak away to go fishing. Cohen was lucky enough to get to go with them one night.
