It was crazy with how busy we had been before. We did hit a few snags. When we went to pick up the u haul but the one we had reserved hadn't been returned. After a few phone calls we realized that no large uhauls were available anywhere remotely close. Luckily I remembered a storage facility that rents a truck. We managed to get there and pick it up less than 5 minutes before it closed. It was crazy. It was much smaller than we had planned on so it ended up taking a few trips. But at least we had a truck.
Cohen and Mason were great workers and did lots to help with loading/unloading.
We were scrambling to get done with our rental house so after a quick lesson Cohen mowed his first lawn.
A few times we planned poorly and had to drive short distances without a carseat.
Finally in and Ollie eating his first bowl of cereal
First night in the house. We just put matresses down and the boys snuggled in. We were luck to find blankets at this point and I think it was a few more days before we found the sheets.
The next day was kids fishing day in the Campbell Creek. Denton took a break from the madness to help the boys catch some fish. Unfortunately they didn't catch any but they sure had fun.
One of the best parts of this property was the shed that was perfect for a chicken coop. So before we were fully unpacked we started the task of converting the shed to a coop.
We did find a little time to try out our new hot tub.
We got our first chickens! After much debate the boys named them Pancake, Daisy, Up, and Betty.
Another night snuggled up. Still no sheets.
Building the chicken run.
The boys love to snuggle the chickens.
After our first 4 we quickly added 2 rhode island reds named Moose and Pollo.
So far we are loving our new place. The boys love all the freedom to run around, shoot squirrels and ride bikes. Can't wait for all the adventures we will have in this house.
