We were lucky enough to go to our friends the Brown's for Thanksgiving dinner. There was lots of people and way too much good food. After we ditched the husbands and kids and went out black Friday shopping (which actually starts on Thursday. We filled Alexes car and had a blast.
The weekend after Thanksgiving they do a lighting of the Christmas lights in Eagle River park. Santa comes with his reindeer and it is a big party.
The next weekend we headed out to Palmer to chop down a Christmas tree. Every year they open up different areas and you can go and chop down any tree. Unfortunately we left a little late and by the time we got there a little before 4 the sun was already setting. That being said we had to rush a little to find the perfect tree which ended up looking a little charlie brown. But it did the job and I ended up loving it.
