Since the husbands and grandparents had to leave and go back to work, we had the rest of the week to go on adventures in the Farimont area. Of course the influence of our Mom shone through and we, 3 adults with 7 kids 7 and under would not be stopped. Our first adventure was the HooDoo hike. It is about 3 miles round trip. I however did not realize the top of the hike would be sheer cliffs. But we all survived, Mason only laid down on the trail once, I call that a win.
Hippie Erin, double carrying!
Cohen helping Scar. He is so sweet!
The Two's at it again.
Q snuggling Cohen.
Then we decided it would be good to get in another ski day. We switched off half way through the day. Somehow Erin loaded all the babies in the car and we had lunch, then I took them home. The kids improved so much. Cohen loved the platter lift! He would go to the top and then race down as fast as he could. Mason was even able to go up by himself at the end.
I got on some ski's so I could keep up with the boys.
At the end of the day Mason said he wasn't feeling well. Elise bribed him to go up one more time and then he just laid at the bottom of the hill and fell asleep.
Ice cream reward for being good skiers
The next day we loaded up and drove to the Lussier Hotsprings. It involved a sketchy logging road followed by a short walk to the hot springs. The water came out of the side of the mountain and then made it's way down towards the river. People had built rock dams so the lower you got the cooler the water was. Most of the kids loved it, but Quinn wasn't too fond of the sulphur smell. Finally we went to the ice cream social and played some BINGO! It ended in tears as no one from our group won. We also did a couple crafts while we were there but failed to document with pictures.
Last stop at the park. Erin might be regretting this choice.
We got in at least one swim per day. Cohen was a crazy fish and Mason preferred to hang out in the hot tub. Ollie once again thought he was a big kid and would jump in with his puddle jumpers on and swim all around. By the last day he thought we could swim without anything on and would jump in and start sinking. He would go under I would save him and he would do it all over again. His lack of fear terrifies me!
Thanks goodness for the city select!
Cousins on the couch picture. I think we were well over done by this point...
The trip home was pretty uneventful. Cohen did throw up on the sidewalk in front of the airport but was fine after that. A nice stranger helped us get through customs and then it was smooth sailing. The kids slept most of the way home!
