OREGON 2013 part 1

I have waited too long to do this so all the days are going to be out of order.  Such is life.  Back in June we headed down to the Oregon Coast to spend some time with Denton's family.  What's a drive through Portland without a stop at VooDoo Doughnuts?

 

 We also found this amazing stopping place complete with Peach Beach.  I thought my sisters would appreciate that one.

  One day we went to Kelly's Marina to catch some crabs.  It was still a little early in the season so we didn't catch any keepers but it was still exciting to pull up the baskets and see if we had caught anything.  It was a little chilly but we still had a blast.

 

 

 

 

 After crabbing we headed down the coast to the Tillamook cheese factory where we enjoyed cheese samples and some ice cream!

 We went to a Lewis and Clark campsite.  It was neat to see the kind of life they lived.

 We also took a ride on the Astoria trolley where we got to learn a little more about the area. 

 HEY YOU GUYS! Who could pass on a stop to the Goonies house.

 One morning we went down to Cannon Beach to check out the tide pools.  I always start the day out with my boys dressed in clothes.  But we weren't down there more than 5 minutes before they had both either jumped/fallen into a large puddle.

 

 This is how we usually end up looking after a trip to the beach.
