We went on a hike in Ecola State Park with Jay and Mel. It was a nice little hike with some amazing views.
We ended up on a nice little beach where Cohen quickly fell in the water.
We found a hermit crab in a tide pool and the kids had fun playing with it.
One of the main purposes of the trip was to go sturgeon fishing. Here I am in my get up. It may have been a little large on me but it kept my dry and warm and that's all I cared about.
On the way out a bunch of sea lions were resting on the dock.
Even the "small" ones were quite the workout to reel in.
Shawn caught one that was too big and we had to throw it back.
SCOW BOYS
Denton thought it would be a good idea for me to hold one. It was very heavy and very slimy. You can see the slime dripping off it. GROSS!!!
Our guide warned us that it would be a bumpy wet ride back to shore. Denton however felt he was above such things as rain coats and he paid the price.
Here we all are with our fish. Overall a pretty successful day!
