September odds and ends

Cohen and Mason started school.  Cohen is in Grade 2 and Mason is off to kindergarten.
Ollie sure will miss his boys when they are gone all day.

Don't worry the boys have discovered orb weaver spiders and enjoy watching them wrap up any bugs they throw into their webs.
Denton thought he should try a new look out on Oliver...
 Somedays are just exhausting.
Went to a concert at the state fair with some friends.
Cohen started playing flag football and is loving it.  He was pretty ecstatic that his team is the colts (his favourite team), it helps to have a Dad that coaches and puts in a good word. Towards the end of the season the fan section was very cold!
Denton took the boys to the Anchorage museum.  It consists mostly of animals found in Alaska.

Walk to the bridge over Meadowcreek
Trying to figure out the trails in Campbell park.
With the start of the school year we began our tradition of fun Friday with a paddle around Fire Lake.  We made it to the island in the middle and  did a little exploring.
Ollie and I are getting in a groove during our days together.  He pretty much follows me around and plays with his lego guys.
Love these moments when everyone is getting along.
 Mason working in the garden.
In my family we have started a tradition on the anniversary of my Dad's death.  Instead of sitting at home crying, we eat out, look back and celebrate our life today.  This is what I wrote on instagram this year:
15 years. Some days it feels like yesterday, other times it feels long ago.  Today we had a pizza party to celebrate where we are today.  We are happy. We are healthy. We have each other.
Mason got to participate in the running jamboree this year and he was thrilled!

Cohen
 Love this silly boy
I rolled my ankle playing volleyball. It was huge and hurt.
Exploring under Briggs Bridge we ran into a few Moose.  A cow and calf were hanging out, followed closely behind by a bull. Love was in the air.
