Summer = Dirt

Once school was out we tried to really maximize our brief Alaskan summer.  Also I am hoping to entice all 3 readers of my blog to come and visit.  We did a walk around Reflections Lake.  At the end we let the kids splash in the questionable water and of course my kids managed to catch little fish.
Enjoying some warmth from the sun, reading books.
Eklutha Lake was a blast but the kids ended up SOOOO dirty! But these views never get old!
At the end they discovered this nice mud slide and I don't think some of our clothes were ever the same.
We attempted some camping. We just went to the Eagle River campground it is a pretty good one and just minutes from our house.   The boys had fun playing in the fire and doing all things boy.
 Look at the happy dirty face.
Some friends came down to roast mallows with us.  They have a little boy Ollie's age and they get along famously.
We finally tried to get some sleep around 11:30 pm.  Unfortunately tents don't come with black out blinds and it took awhile to get to sleep.
Bike ride with the whole crew.
